Where does our name come from?

The Camp Bowie Beard Company get it's name from one of the most historic neighborhoods in Fort Worth, Texas.  It stretches nine miles from the downtown Cultural District through the western side of Fort Worth. 

The neighborhood got it's name from "The Camp" which was about three miles west of Downtown Fort Worth.  The Camp was established in 1917 by the United States War Department to give training to the 36th Infantry Division and was named for James Bowie, a defender of the Alamo.

Today Camp Bowie Boulevard is a lively unique urban neighborhood that offers shopping, restaurants, entertainment and  a variety of commercial businesses. 


While we may not have an storefront location there, the spirit of the Camp Bowie area  lives in us.
